My Worst Enemy

Poetry By: mystory

The feeling of betrayal is unlike any other. It's like a stab through the heart. It hurts the most when it first happens, and leaves blood everywhere. And when it's all over, there is a big scar left, so you can never forget it happened.

How could you do this to me?

I thought you were my friend.

I guess I just couldn't see,

This is how it was destined to end.

I had been waiting my whole life for someone like you.

But then you just threw it all away.

I still can't believe this is true.

How could you hurt me in this way?

You were the one I always came to,

When I needed someone to ease my pain.

I poured my heart out to you,

And you helped push away my shame.

But I would have never guessed,

Even in my wildest dream,

That the friend I thought was my best,

Was helping the other team.

You turned your back on me,

After everything we went through together.

You've abandoned, and betrayed me.

I will remember this forever.

You have turned into my worst enemy...

You sold me out,

Though you think I'm in the dark.

You have not a sliver of doubt.

It's on a new journy I must embark.

I have a new goal.

I know what I must do.

I must find I way to save my soul,

And the only way is to hurt you.

You will pay for the pain you've put me through.

To think you'd been plotting all along.

There's a knot in my life I must undo.

But to do it I must be strong.

My hatred will give me the strength I need,

To bring you down.

I will make your heart bleed,

And leave you broken on the ground

Though you needn't run, you see,

The price is perfectly fair.

For this is what you've done to me.

And it's more than I can bare.

Don't even try to say you're sorry,

I won't fall for your tricks this time

I already know the whole story,

And you will pay dearly for your crime.

You know what you've done,

You cannot run away.

Because you know that I will come,

No matter what you say.

You left me broken on the floor.

And to think I trusted you.

After this, I will turst no more.

I know what I must do.

You have turned into my worst enemy...
