They said I had a broken heart; there was nothing they could do
They said I had a broken heart and was still not over you
My heart had given up and shattered over the years
Of so much devastation, loss and grief and tears
My heart had took too much, been through so much stormy weather
There was no way they could hope, to put it back together
So many times before this had been attempted to be cured
The research for this illness was too expensive to afford
For philosophers, scientist, doctors had searched throughout the world
But there seems to be no cure for a broken hearted girl
