Why sir why,
Do you send me to die,
In a foreign land,
Beneath a raging sky.

Can you not look me in the eye,
Give just reason ,
Why I may die.
Why sir, why,
Must you peddle your lie,
Your lust for glory,
So many sons will die.
Why sir why,
Beneath a raging sky,
Must I wait my turn,
For Death to come where I lie.
Why sir why,
Cannot peace be your cry,
My foe to be my brother,
Beneath a silent sky.
