The privilege of forgiveness.
This life we have is good,
I am blessed to have such love,
Your love, your presence and heart.
I who at times was unworthy,
Unworthy of such a privilege,
knowing you could have walked away.
You showed your faith in us, in me,
You forgave me and never uttered a bitter word,
You never sought to punish me or exact revenge,
How unique you are as a person.
Every kiss is electric,
Every embrace as warm as the summer sun,
Your eyes sparkle like stars,
Why did I not realise before I hurt you.
I treasure you now more than ever,
I realise my mistake and the turmoil I caused you,
So from today I will make your life with me better,
Because you deserve the best and the best is yet to come.
