When dreams are shattered
life goes on
A drudgery life
to trudge along
When my mind went back
to that fateful day
a single 'no'
ruined my way
I remember well
how I had said 'no'
and that very day
had cried so
The tears are dry
the cheek are stained
my eyes still red
heart still pained
A single hour has passed
It was just yesterday

Sounds like a kid when a mother said that they couldn't have a toy, but at the same time it is an adult outlook on the topic so it has to be something important. I liked it.
