Someday soon I hope to see,
A change in those who are not free.
I pray that they will shed their chains,
to hug the trees and feel the rain.
Although I truly sympathize,
I know it with my heart and eyes.
They grounded themselves with their narrow minds
and took the World by surprise.
It's clear to me, the World we live in,
with all its beauty and precision
Was not meant to be taken for granted
so soon, we'll reap the seeds we planted.
Peace in pieces, destroyed by lies.
None other to blame then our twisted minds
Our memories of better times
are buried deep beneath the tides.
War; rage on, I push you aside
I am settled, I am fine.
Suffer beggar, suffer child,
what have you to do with I.
The time is now it has not passed,
I surely will not be the last
to realize the simplicity
of feeling the rain, and hugging the trees.
