Life's a Journey

Poem By: noonesperfection
Poetry

I actually got this idea from a sign my aunt has in her house with the words, "Life is a journey" written on it. It somehow inspired me to write this.

Life's a journey,
A twisting, winding road,
Often left unpaved,
With chapters left untold.
A jack-in-the-box,
A song of every kind,
An unlocked journal,
A state of mind.
Every life's a different story,
With chapters that intertwine,
A romance and a horror,
Where verses seldom rhyme.
Life's a journey,
A forest of emotion,
A battle to survive,
A city of commotion.

Well done, nice flow to it. For some reason I do think it would flow better if the poem ended with 'A battle to survive'.

Thanks!
hmmmmm...... I hadn't thought about that. You may be right. I'll keep that in mind if I ever do anything else with the poem. Thank you.
