Palindrome Place

The approach
The eyes straining like the car’s engine
Broke free of the gradient
Then green, blue and home

Here I first found atoms
And sea foam
Nurtured by silence
And restructured

Blurred now
Smudged anemones
And hazier horizons
But never absent.

That sounds like my vision on a Sunday morning! Thanks for the comment.

I do like the cut of your jib, October. Otherworldy, evocative imagery. Loved it!

Why thank you!

I love reading poetry without reading the little synopsis first to see what's in my mind. My first thoughts were of coming home. Or maybe not home, but something familiar.

It's about coming back to a place that I felt was my real home. I still dream about it on a weekly basis!

Ah, I did the same as Peach, I thought of coming to a changed home. A once green land turned city... or something like that. It really was a lovely read! ~ Nixie

Actually, I often dream that this particular place has been turned into a gigantic shopping complex - so you're spot on!In real life it remains unchanged, thank goodness.
