There is rockets in my brain,
fuel in my pockets.
Some say it's insane,
and I don't doubt it.
Don't be concerned.
I put this paper to my mind,
and it burned.
It's not quite what I desired -
A shower of brilliant fire.
I can't take the heat,
but I won't perspire.
Just take a seat - and
gaze at this fire that we inspired.
It will devour us whole,
straight to the soul.
Our time is near.
We expire -
turned into a pyre.
So that others may aspire,
For a bonfire.
