Colors and Shades

Poetry By: Ohioguy

It's just a poem. I honestly have no idea what this is, it just happened. So I'd love to hear your own interpretations. ^_^ I guess to me it just seems really uplifting.

Let me be a Blue Balloon.

Slightly deflated yet still soaring up in the sky.

You may not see me, but you can assume -

that I've never been so high.

Let me be a blade of grass.

Stepped on and trampled,

it makes me want to scream.

But I'm still the tallest,

and the brightest shade of green.

Let me be that speck of paint on your wall.

Slightly off-colored and a little annoying.

Yet I'll always be in the back of your mind.

I'll just wait here, always looking on in longing.

And if you just can't take it anymore,

turn your head and understand that.

You've been right beside me forever,

and forever more.

So you be -anything- at all,

because it doesn't matter.

See an obstacle in your way,

I'll just give you a ladder.

So we'll be that tallest blade of grass,

in the meadow.

We'll be that deflated balloon in the sky,

that casts such a big shadow.

All of the colors.

All of the shades.

All of the faces that won't go away.

We'll be the brightest.
