Open and free, the sounds of the ocean..

ringing and ringing, deep in my ear..

Setting the tide of our lives in motion,

letting us know there is nothing to fear.

I see my reflection in the water,

I'm not entirely sure you know what I see.

Not quite the same as my father,

still unsure of what I want to be...

In my mind, at home..

I built my life in foam.

So easy to make,

yet quick to crumble.

I fear to think,

how much the two are the same.
