Many writers spill their words, on this site to find their worth

Others words create a fire, comments gush, knowone tires

To start so low to climb the ladder, I  like yours, does that matter

Many reads with not to say, is it crap, please, please do say

Add more fire, add more tears, thow in some love thow in more fear

Is that enough to gain your attention, unspoken rule that is not broken

So try and try and try we must, please read our work and move us up

Touché'! :) This is so easy to relate to here on Booksie, and comments make such a difference. Without comments I wouldn't be here, they keep me writing. You will have to forgive me if my comments aren't great, I'm pretty tired, but there's a nice feel to this. I'm sure every one of us here on Booskie have felt this, I know I have. ~ Nixie

I wrote it in fun... it is like a little community, overwhelming walking down the main street, in your underware LOL..Thankd Nixie

This was really fun to read. I'm a sucker for cadence (too many years of reading Dr. Seuss to my son I think) and this one fairly flows off the tongue.

And you're right, comments are important. Response and feedback are the life's blood to those who are brave enough to put their words, in whatever form, on paper.

I've never felt particularly qualified to critique another's work. I'm a better proofreader than anything else! What I am reasonably sure I am qualified for though is to know when I like it.

I like it. Sheryl

This is very correct and in tune with booksie. I do enjoy comments and hope they are not behind sunglasses. However, at the end of the day, I write for the passion in it no matter what anyone says.

I liked it. It kind of made me laugh a little because it is so true not only on this site or even in writing but in everything. People live for other people (usually).

it was meant to be a joke.. but it is true we most times live for others Olwen

hi! ur poem is every writer's dream. for v all crave for a strong reader presence on each of our work. it fills our hearts. it gives us hope that v did write something. comments r indication how well the work has been received. and the writer gets an impetus to better it in his next.

i like the very thought of this poem. keep it up. lol. ;-)

Thank you, it does doesn't it ;-)

True, True, True...I write because I love to do it, but I love the comments. I, too, would not be on the site if there was no feedback. I can't let it rule me though. I desire true feedback, good and bad. It helps me hone my craft. Thanks for sharing, Ted
