What Lies Within the Princess

Poetry By: OxannaRose

What happens in her life, the world will never know.

Behind every smile she hides a teardrop.

She's perfect in their eyes,

But to her own she's a monster

Taking up a guise as a strong woman.

She laughs like the others,

But deep inside

Her heart pumps black blood through her veins.

But no one would ever know.

She walks like an angel

But there are demons in her footprints.

Her past haunts her like a renlentess storm.

Crashing waves of emotion

Buffet her fragile heart.

It's close to breaking she knows,

But she has to keep up her persona.

She has to live the lie just a day longer she tells herself.

But behind closed doors

Where no light seaps in from the closed curtains in front of her window

She looks at her broken mirror

And decides if it is all worth it.

She lays in her bed that night

And falls asleep.
