Poetry By: padrine

we sometimes have all the patience in the world, hoping for things to work out but at the back of your mind, you realise that it is hopeless

I have patience

As much as I can

For patience is a virtue

Or so they say

It might be true

It might not

But I have patience

What does it prove

Nothing, nothing at all

In vain I wait

In vain I hope

You reciprocating

And I have patience

With endurance

I keep on,

I hold on

Waiting, hoping

For a reaction

trusting, expecting

Wishing, dreaming

for I have patience

I was gullible

Utterly credulous

you're so fabulous

The futility

Of my pliability

Hit me with reality

Now it's no more

I had patience
