loneliness can be cruel

Who are you?

What are you?

You accompany many

Uninvited, not summoned,

Interfering without being asked

A great intruder

That's who you are

Ferocious, cruel

In your silent descend

You take grip of a soul

Casting your shadows

your dreadful gloom

On the unexpected

you lack respect

for time, for place

without any grace

you coat the rejected

how callous you are

pitiless and harsh

shame on you

who have no mercy

you take pleasure

in adversity

and without measure

you indulge in difficulty

oh lift your veil

your depressing blanket

please lift your veil
