A map of the world adorns his face
Watch him aggravated as oceans boil
The bumps and contours of a teenage boy
Scarred, scraped, scratched and soiled
Tears aflame streak down dusty canals
Scorching remnants of a once pink plain
Now a cinder and glassed to marble
Mangled, mashed, mired and maimed
Tangled thorns to make the hair
Untamed, lying scattered and piled
Falling like streams to cover his eyes
Wizened, woeful, wishful and wild
