The Goal (Dreams)
I will reach my goal, I will climb to the top,
Even though my head has felt like it was gonna pop.
Dreams from the past still need to be fulfilled,
I will not be like all the folks on the hill.
8:00 am and the sun is shining bright,
So I am out walking, searching for a fight.
Out comes a clown from the nightmares in my past,
The sewer's dry, I've never ran so fast.
The lights are red and the fire's burning strong,
All I see is a fucked up mental throng.
I will not follow anyone else's map,
Too many things, Hatred? Oh that's all crap.
The cartel of this land is wrong,
And so I ran even though the day was long.
I am different, I am who I am,
I will never be like any other man.
And so I sing and dance and pray,
As I make my statues out of clay.
The world is wide and small and brown,
A contradiction will never get me down.
I will love all who steal my heart,
Me and you, I hope we never part.
I know you'll fulfil all the dreams I had,
But the world I see has turned so bad.
Still we sit here full of hope,
And maybe one day we can elope.
The love I have for you is so strong and great and grand,
So young and happy held by your hand.
Ambition is more powerful if we just believe,
We can never give up and just leave.
Permission is not something that we need,
But just for you I am taking special heed.
Your skin is so soft and loyal,
And you never want to be a royal!
So let's just believe and I'll see you on the street,
Where I'll fall and you'll run to greet.
