You were my dearest wish

My hearts desire

Flame to candle wick

My world on fire

You were my heat

My surrender, my flame

My hearts defeat

 

This blaze burned me

Into a million ashy flakes

Crumbling in this heated haze

My fiery heart breaks

In this ashen regret

Tears fall on this scalded burn

The spark?

In my blazing love

I let you love me in return
