Fairytales

Cinderella

Left in the cinders of broken dreams

Nothing is what it seems

As hope turned and fled

She followed where sorrow led.

In her darkest hour of need

Hope planted its fertile seed

Turned to a night of mystery

A tale throughout history.

All her dreams fulfilled

Despair was killed

But is all as it seems?

In the land of fairytales and dreams.

Sleeping beauty

Beautiful daughter born on magic's night

Mothers dearest wish within sight

Sister to fairies by the promise of gifts

But where scorn is led terror mists.

Thumb to needles quick tip

Slumbers unearthly grip

Broken by true loves kiss

All turns to bliss.

Enchantment lifted

On pleasure she drifted

So the tale winds to an end

No more demons of pretend.

Snow White

Innocent child of beauty

Accepted her fathers duty

Until death stole his breath

Pain followed death.

Sacrifice to vanities covetous fury

Fled from certain injury

Came upon witches wiles

Still dark magic could not defile.

For true love sought her heart

And lovers kiss she cannot part

An ending so sweet and dear

What is there to fear?

Rapunzle

Snatched from babies cradle

Her name turned to fable

Slave to witches vengeful hate

In tower tall she awaits her fate.

Golden curls of sunlight

Lengthen and grow to a breath-taking sight

Ladder of hair awaits witches touch

The tug on her tresses is too much.

On silent night true loves tender sigh

Climbs great tower high

Born aloft on golden cord

Lady comes to lord.

Fairytales

Happily ever after

Imaginings foretold of a master crafter

Sweet lies of sugared fable

Dreams Of the beautiful and unable

Unknowing of harm

Candy coated dreams of charm

Once upon a time

Beautiful fiction none can define.
