It seems that all that should be said,
Has been said.
It seems that the tears that must be shed,
Have been shed.
Its seems the mourning that will come to pass,
Is passing.
It seems we have come to terms
It seems our lives have carried on
(As lives do)
It seems you are remembered with a quiet acceptance
It seems the goodbyes have lost their bitterness
Its seems peace has come at last

And yet not everything is what it seems
There is that which cannot be said
And the saying of it burdens the soul
There are the tears that will not be shed
The ones that lay heavy on the heart
There is the mourning that will never pass
Its spans the lifetimes
Yes we have carried on, moved forward even
But only because looking back salts old wounds
And reminds us of what is lost
The acceptance is a quiet one
To speak of it makes the acceptance harder
The no longer bitter goodbyes
Have been replaced with tender fragility
And the peace is but submission to the inevitable

For you are gone and you will not return

A beautiful tribute to those who have lost and known loss. I truly share everything you said, there is everything to be said and nothing more to be said, all at the same time. Have you noticed that mankind cannot talk about death. There are no proper structures to follow, there isn't a large enough vocabulary to emphasise on the idea. Humans aren't meant to speak of death. Its in our nature, like helping someone when they fall over. Even if we dont know them, our instinct is to help. Are we meant for something more? If we have so much more to say to those who are no longer here, is it coincidence.... or is it built in everyone of us? You have me babbling about existence now hahahaha. But seriously, maybe we were'nt meant to die. Maybe our built in mind is following a message that was meant to be, but isnt. Maybe we were supposed to live forever. Thankyou for a great read, obviously it had me thinking haha.

Thank you so much.

I think humans are made to live but death goes hand in hand with life. For if we do not die how can we possibly know what it is to live. But we're not conditioned for death so talking about it almost becomes some taboo. I also know that personally remembering the death of a loved one somehow emphasises all that has been lost
