Candle and Moon

More or less a vampire poem.

Was it a silvery moon, that beckoned you back
or a torch from the castle's stone wall?
Was it whispery pleas, from your memory's will
that severed your strength after all?

Did you miss my touch, by the candles flame
and the warmth of my skin by the light?
Did I mean that much, to your stone wall heart
that it crumbled to pieces each night?

How long my sweet love, did you try to deny
my shadow that stayed close to thee?
How much did you miss, that trickle of blood
that flowed from your arm just for me?

For always I'll be, and forever I'll stay
the shine from your silvery moon
For now love you see, it has always been me
that saved you a place in my tomb.
