Atonement. You are my boss,
forgive me, I face a loss.
But I thank you, nonetheless,
for being my guardian angel through the mess.
Looking back, reflection in the sands of time.
I see that you refer to me as "mine."
I wouldn't have it any other way.
You are the reason there is any illumenscence in my day.
You are that word I find difficult to utter.
For so long now, my eyes have hid behind a shutter.
No more. Amendment. I will grow,
in meek efforts, just to show,
that you are a FRIEND.
There is no other word, no other end.
When I'm without,
you run to me, no doubt.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
No words can I speak, with gratitued I am blue.
I'll remember always the times we shared.
I'll never forget how much you cared.
Too bad death's taken you by the leash.
O friend, may you rest in peace.
