FAITH
Never say I’ve lost my faith,
Cuz’ the lord knows I haven’t.
I believe…
I believe in you,
And the light that exudes from within.
I believe in you,
And the world that waits to be your oyster.
I believe in you,
And the dreams that won’t be just dreams forever.
I believe in you,
And the happiness that’ll reign in your kingdom.
I believe, so strongly, wholeheartedly believe,
In you.
DEATH
The only thing I can’t get myself to believe in,
It’s a simple, insignificant, no-good
Nothing thing.
I lost my faith…in us.
When did the lies blur?
When did the truths go astray?
When did you surpass me?
When did equality drown for me to be your servant?
When did oppression gain the crown?
When did the dreams I had die, exergonically giving life to yours?
When did I risk my joys?
When did I say I’ll suffer doubly, for the both of us?
Go back in time and see I never did.
COMPROMISE
You take and you take,
Leaving me deserted.
For some dumb reason,
I’m stolen from time and again,
I let you be a human.
While I’m a doormat.
No respect for me,
Who needs compromises in a world
Where you rule?
I am not your equal
I am not your friend.
I am not your partner.
I am not anything at all for you.
I’m just me, the one you need,
The one you want…but you don’t know why.
So I got to say goodbye.
