I entered a challenge to write about Love. The quote in inverted commas had to be included in the poem as part of the challenge. This was runner up.

Love, the strongest of emotions
Can lift you up so you can reach the highest star
A lover's touch can light a spark within you
Whose flame still smoulders
Whether you are near or far
The joy love brings can be deeper than an Ocean
Brighter than the moon and stars that light the night
Loves passion can transcend the highest heavens
When two entwined as one
Feel passions' might
When love is new he may woo you with poetry
That will warm your heart when you hear him say
"Mountains may move, their mighty peaks tumble.
Hills in their effort to wander, may crumble,
But my love for you is not just a token
It will stay in my heart and never be broken"
But passion fades as days become a lifetime
As together you face the trials of life,
Where joys and sorrows make your love grow stronger
And you'll go hand in hand together,
Forever….. Man and Wife
