Snow - Nature's Gift

It falls like petals from the sky,
Gently, slowly, drifting down
Leaving a magical carpet of white,
That glistens like jewels upon the ground.

The world falls silent in a veil of beauty,
Excited children suddenly appear,
Building snowmen, making sledges,
All at once the silence disappears.

The children's laughter's like the sound of music,
As onward rolls their sledge from side to side,
In this magical world of beauty and excitement
As they twist and turn there is no place to hide
From nature's engulfing blanket
That is snow.
