halloween by hanna_horwarth

Ghouls and ghosts invade the night
The graveyard's such an eerie sight
With rolling fog above the trees
The silence is broken by the rustling leaves

Children clothed in scarves and hats
Telling tales of witches and rats
As they carry lanterns to guide their way
This Halloween when fairies play

Gathered together with masks and sacks
They huddle in doorways some back to back
From all the neighbours on their street
They receive lots of goodies for trick or treat

The night will end with whoops of joy
Fun was had by both girl and boy
Now off to bed and so to dream
Looking forward to next Halloween

Goodnight children everywhere!
