Poetry By: patspoems

Just a silly poem that came to mind when my friend, who is sometimes down, came in looking very cheery and happy and was dressed all in red. Did the colour help her mood - who knows. Anyway this is how I saw it.

If your feeling blue

Don't stay in bed

Go to your wardrobe

Choose something red

The colour of laughter,

Excitement and thrills

The day will feel better

You'll forget all your ills.

If you wear black

You'll feel dismal all day

You won't feel much better

If you choose something grey.

Purple is regal, but doesn't have that kick

Green, white or beige, not very hip.

So if you're feeling down

And don't know what to do

Wear something red

You'' soon forget about blues.
