Lost

 

Lost in a sea of confusion and pain

Needing only to be found

Before I go utterly insane

 

These emotions running wildly through me

Prevent my senses from being clear

To what may be right in front to see.

 

I flail around and wildly swing

Hoping that some kind of answer

Will present itself upon my wing.

 

These sweet answers give me flight

So I can soar up high above the trees

Away from my problems and into the night.

 

But these answers never come.

The questions remaining torturous

Weighing on my mind with a hefty sum.

 

And so I remain lost,

In the swirling sea of my mind

Questions and wishing having a high cost.

 

I know you wish to find me

But that can never be.

 

For if I can’t even find myself,

How are you to find me?
