Someday, you'll be proud of me

Poetry By: Penelope Garenther

This was the point in my life that everyone decided I was the screw up and regretted having me. Shunned me every little thing I did; those days were crushing on me, but I finally decided to say something and tell them I dont care anymore, they can think whatever they want their problem not mine.

Open up those ears and hear me out

in not that screw up, you think I am

I'm not the the brother who will destroy his family for the taste of money

Im the girl who will get through life day by day

Loving the ones that are supposed to love me back

Your not proud now, but I'll show you, one day you'll be proud of me

I never wanted to be like the others,

Im perfect in my own way

Ya, I have lied, but I only did 'cause I couldn't stand to see you cry anymore

You may look at me now and not believe I can make it, and that I will be the third regret

But don't worry Im not what you think I am,

Im so much more, so much better

one day you shall see, and you'll remember my words that I'll say

You will look at your daughter with a different look and you'll be proud of her

So, when I come around to scream and shout about who I am,

just listen ... and think

'Cause I have a dream and you'll be proud of me
