Ahhh to laugh again
To be silly
to be joyful
Can it be?
Have I unlocked
A world so new to me
through poetry
That has lasting meaning?
Words that spill
From my mind
My feelings
onto the screen.
Words that bring smiles
Happiness, hope?
Anticipation of one reading
And recognizing
That the words are for them
To relish, to hold
To remember
When days are gone by.
To feel special and loved
To laugh, be silly
To bring those emotions
Long forgotten or hidden.
It is my pleasure to put
These words on paper
And gift them
To you.
