Looking out at the crowd
Seeing the dozens of smiling faces
As you repeat the lines you have only practiced a million times
You still mess up on that one word(don't worry it's only the first show)
The audience still claps as they hear that high note(it was off key)(don't worry it's only the first show)
You still smile as they call everyone back at the end( Time to get serious. One show left)

Looking out at the crowd
Seeing the dozens of smiling faces
You still mess up on that on word(It was the last show and you STILL miss it!!!)
The audience claps as they hear that high note(It was STILL off key!! Why????!!!!)
You try hard to smile as they call everyone back on stage(You could have done better.)

Don't worry.
It's only dress-rehearsal after all.
The shows next week.

Better not miss that word.
