I miss you my dear,
Emptiness bites at my heart,
All alone for now.
In the dark it waits,
The monster from my nightmare,
Here to eat my soul.
Love is eternal,
Needed by all to survive,
Given out by few.
Love is a weapon,
When used on the battlefield,
The best men will fall.
Telling a story
Is releasing fantasies
Your mind created.
I speak of daytime
When the sun shines high and bright
And clouds make up shapes.
Friends are beams of light
That pass through open windows
Of the waiting soul
Who are we to judge
To condemn without reason
With no second chance.
In the night I wait
For your sweet, enticing touch
To awaken me.
Your tears tease my cheeks
As you kiss me with sorrow
And say your farewells.
Take my breath away
Whisper softly in my ear
Sweep me off my feet.
Light up with desire
Flames that never can be doused
And let the fire rage.
Take the daylight down
Cast away the shining sun
It is the moon's turn.
We will slip like sand
Between the fingers of time
Together we'll stay.
