My finger tickles the trigger
And you flash across my mind
As the lighter flickers in my eyes
And the gasoline glistens on my toes.
I tighten the noose around my neck
And you flit across my thoughts
As the garage door slowly shuts
And the car hums in my ear.
The pills fall from my palm
And I dream about your face
As the razor finds my wrists
And the water fills the tub.
A single strand of hair
Falls from the building’s tippy top
And as I fall a thousand feet
You are all I see.
And as I lay here in my thoughts
I snuggle close into your chest
And try to push away these urges
So we can stay this way forever.
