Thoughts are swirling in my head

I cannot stop the madness

Thinking of the things they said

Fills my heart with sadness.

They told me what they think of you

They told me you don’t care

Please tell me that it isn’t true

Convince me with your stare.

The words they say ring loud and clear

But I try to keep them out

You know how much I love you dear

But they’re pushing me to doubt.

They tell me what they think you’ll do

When the going gets too tough

But these are just their words, not mine
