Can’t get these thoughts out of my brain

These thoughts are making me insane

Thoughts of you and thoughts of me

Thoughts of what I wish we’d be.

Can’t get this nagging off of my mind

There is no solace I can find

Thoughts of her and thoughts of you

Thoughts of things you used to do.

Can’t get this notion out of my head

Can’t stop thinking of things you said

Thoughts of us and thoughts of this

Thoughts I thought I’d never miss.

But since I can’t just cease my thinking

I’ll accept this ship of ours is sinking

I’ll hold my breath and wave good bye

And pray you’re gone before I cry.
