Bruised Innocence jmfb 6-11-2010
You broke my spirit
Once the final piece was firmly glued
I'd searched the fragments
In a barren field of moods
You strangled my dreams
after rungs of years I'd climbed
You forced my tears
when I'd sell my soul for a smile
Time laughs louder now
than you ever dreamed
Evil is the memory
bringing you back to me
