Whispers                   11-22-2010

It's a whisper
a stubborn visitor
whose knocking's not slowing
Poe's heart echoing
the whisper

If let in
he'll keep whispering
At the door rapping
volume upward creeping
endemic blisters

A storm cloud rumbling
confused thoughts tumbling
birthing but one notion
bordering explosion
of twisters

Ravaging the mind
nothing there to find
guilt plagues without regret
forgiveness won't reset
the whispers
