Who wants a piece of my heart?
Its for sale, every part
I'm tired of its baggage I cart
Once its gone I can re-start
It's sturdy, often overfull
Towards excitement known to pull
Also can appreciate the dull
Into deep things loves to mull
So why is it up for sale?
If all told, the story would regale...
Suffice to say that the tale
contains hurt and love impale
So a disclaimer I will write
My heart is good, and it has might
But let these next words feel your sight
I want to show the dark and bright...
It is often known to bleed
Knows no want, only need
From logical, rational thought will impede
And once given, never freed
I wish to keep it very bad
But enough of its truth I've had
I want my brain to be glad
Without it's doubt driving me mad
With it no logic I can see
It keeps me put and pushes me free
With one step forward I go back three
I already know where it takes me
I hope for you, it will behave
With its protection, it can enclave
Innocence, it can deprave
A person, it could with love save
See if it your life can enhance
See if a new heart will you advance,
To use for art or for romance,
Take a piece, and take a chance
