I can recall what it was like as if it was simply yesterday.

Fell for the "small talk" I now recognize as "game".

& I was there to in-take all those thoughtless lies.

Because I didn't know the outcome just by looking in your eyes.

& yes, I proceeded with caution just like I was warned to do.

But more heart just wanted more than what a guard tend to let through.

Believed in your every word and swore that you'd remain true

and eventually had the outcome of me fallin in love with you.

After time I knocked it down and let you in my private space.

Gave you all I had to offer and promised to give you my full embrace.

Thought the love we had was true and it was exclusively my cut.

Talking bout the times we spent, the laughs we had, the love we made,

both the sensual and lust.

Until suddenly realized that I was just another girl sharing your touch.

See , I can remember it like it was yesterday ,

because you meant so much to me

but the way you broke my heart and shatter every part's tellin me I can do better.
