Ancient Rocks On The Shore.
(c)17/10/2009.By Poetlife.
Rock pools by the ocean side,
Surrounded on all sides,
I can sit and be caressed
By
Oceans currents, waves
Of
Time.
You appear, dis-appear
In shifting sands of time.
I love to see your
Ancient face.
Come share your
Textures, tones of grey.
I feel in awe of your beauty, strength.
You remain
Tell your tale,
With all life
Endless, timeless
You remain.
Did Captian Cook and crew,
Stand on your shores,
Rest on ancient rocks.
Wipe a tired brow.
I am told they sailed by this place,
Did they come ashore
Trace the beauty
Of
Your ancient face.
