A Dead Pen

Poetry By: PotatoChips

Ever had a writer's block? Ever felt unable to express yourselves in words? Felt like writing just left you behind? It's how I do now....

I had not noticed that you had started to whisper,

Is your voice parched from screaming at me?

I am trying now

It's a promise

You are still so far away whilst I clutch

Empty handed and bitter at the fact

That I had forgotten about you

Neglected your eloquence

Disregarded your beauty

I have so much to express

My feelings blur and I writhe in unfelt pain

The world is harder and everything confusing

Do Not Abandon Me

I'll do whatever to make you stay

Yet with every bleeding testimony I give

Your life force fades from my thoughts

Your creativity slips to forgotten memories

Your heart wisp's piece by piece from my soul

How do I thoroughly write my suffering's

I am not sure I even fully comprehend

All I know is that my words are slipping

My short life as a writer will end

And I fear the ink is running low

The silky flow of my words will be dead

Is this happening to You?

For the sandy beach that was once my joy of words

Has blown away and left a pointed and useles trench.
