don't know who am i

Poem By: princess onika auguste
Poetry

this just came to me even though i'm black , i have european and indian ancestor in my bloodline. and though i can honestly say i'm black and negro because of ancestor i was just never drawn to one culture but all three cultures in my bloodline. and it shows that sometimes even though a person is black he's not exactly black or if a person is white he's not exactly white if you get my drift . hope you guys like View table of contents...

who am i

am i nigga

whose skin is dark as charocal

am a  ebony

whose ancestors were taken from the black contient

i'm seshat

a  the black goddess

i know my skin is as dark as night

but i don't feel like night

or am i milk

that is put into tea

i'm ivory

am i from the isles of britian

whose ancestorys took blacks for slaves

am the white god oghma

who 's conquest was greed

i know i feel like a cup of tea

but i'm not

i think i'm from the east

where tea,  silk and spices grow

i' think i'm like the moonson weather

where rice grows

aha i know who i'm

i'm Sarasvati

the goddes of  the indus

but i don't look like it

those people who came from india

to  labouer on  the god's ogma's estate

i know how who i'm

i'm not   sarasvati nor ogma or seshat

but i'm a mixture all

but i  look like seshat

True, true. The shade of our skin can be deceptive, like you touched on in your summary. We can look more like our mother's ethnic background or our father's or abit of both. Undoubtedly, they are not both born from the same exact ethnicity....AND they are not 1 or even 2, but multiple ethnic blends as well. We are all "mutts", diverse, unique, lovely. There are very few "pedigreed humans" anymore...except where there is no diversity whatsoever. (isolated) Thought-provoking Princess! Good, good!!!
