there's a poem i wrote to my niece about the ocean.

the ocean is a huge
enormous ,outrageous place
where in the crystal clear water
you could see all the shocking, unbelievable things
on earth
from silver fishes to plants that eat
big blue whales to hungry man eating sharks
you might be even lucky to see a gorgerous mermaid sitting on a rock
or a sea monster that suddenly appears to the surface
you might be luckier to hear dolphins talk to you
you might be lucky
just don't say never
