I toss and I turn
I can’t sleep at night
It’s just another pointless fight
I start to learn what may’ve been
I can’t hold back the tears again
I feel you here in my heart
Even though we’re far apart
Everyone said there’s hope
And we’d make it work
But I never learned to deal with the pain
I see it now as bright as the sun
That there’s something I can’t outrun
Fact is I’m just a dreamer
My heart’s been breaking
Ever since I realized
I couldn’t keep faking
The unforgivable lie
It took me until now to see
That you are the one for me
But I know we can never be
Cause the distance between us is just too great
Everyone said there’s hope
And we’d make it work
But I never learned to deal with the pain
I see it now as bright as the sun
That I am just a dreamer
In this cruel world
Everyone must learn
That we dream our lives away
