Illusions of Lust

Love, you come into my life in a daydream splendor

Lust, you come into my life with reckless abandon

You fill my heart with the hope of bliss

You leave it barren amid a toxic pool of venenum

Love, your smile tickles me from the inside out

All while stabbing my heart with countless frozen shards

I reach out to your cheek, embracing your happiness

To blind to see the callous warts and all their inglorious ooze

Love sings to me and I feel the words beneath

In a trance as the black widow decimates her mate

Love, you dance as if floating on the loose hairs of a unicorn’s mane

Lust, you dance upon the flame red hair of a whore in paradise scorched

When I frown Love flips me upside down

Only to enjoy lust dropping me down into addiction’s open grin

If there is a door hiding you Love, I open it with violence and greed

Only to find lust walking out with hope dead in her hand

Walking along the edge of insanity Love blows her kisses on my face

Teetering on the edge of madness Lust imbues kisses with gale force

For it is you love, that makes me the happiest

It is you lust, that makes me the saddest

For it is you love, that turns your back on me

It is you lust, that raises a blade for my succinct death

But it is you love

I hate in this moment

With this very breath
