It seems I believe out of habit
With no real agency at all
Raised and programmed inside my head
Whose to say, God isn't the people in control
Values pushed, fear inflicted
God isn't perfect at all.
Inside of me, I know what's right
And there is something that knows
right through me
I won't go to hell, and I won't be damned
For all, in your eyes, that I couldn't be.
I'm not the greatest child
And I'm sure, a struggling adult
But my religion is what's inside of me
My relationship with no one but me.
