in black and white
this war that we fight
colors keep changing
thoughts rearranging
shadows are stealing
approval is sealing
but my core is stale
my body turns pale
whiter than white
blacker than night
my eyes are so blind
too sane for my mind
blurred are my visions
making false decisions
make things right
black and white
been hearing nothing
yet my ears still ringing
with long-lost voices
lost all good choices
to reason enough
to call my own bluff
that day is night
and black is white
silenced the lambs
a sentence condemned
while guilty of sin
the person within
redeems himself
justice lies upon the shelf
painting new canvas
shunning the worst, alas
for white and black
conquer the stacks
of emotionless faces
turn jaded good graces
into sweeter smiles
no more faded denials
