"Final Sunset"

Poetry By: RaisinGirl

All about letting go......this one creates a story full of imagery, and actually this was my challenge from Mystory...my seven words were:
ocean, trust, animal, blood, hate, luck, shallow.....here it is:

I gazed in admiration at the beauty surrounding the ocean, while you gazed longingly toward me, as we both lied upon the vastness of the shore,

You told me how much you really loved me, but I knew in my heart, that I could never be able to trust you, for you had broken me in two, twice before,

For the earth had shaken once and again, but now this angry, bitter animal inside me shook up the cage within, and out of my heart, made it's final escape,

Even my blood in my bony, pale fingers is running blue, as I clutch desperately onto this rock in my hand, knowing I must let go without any haste,

I have now tossed this stubborn rock into the shallow waters, watching it sink unto the sand, as the sea exposes it's shells, twinkling under the setting sun,

I have let go of my hate for your lack of character and cheating arrogance, for I know it's not by luck, that you are now gone, forever and many days to come
