This wretched life swallowed me whole again today; then it spit me out from choking on my venom seeds,
I started wandering through the backyard, then suddenly I fell headfirst into a garden full of angry weeds.
Soon the black vines of silence crept up, stepped up, then begun violently coiling themselves around my throat,
This time I was the one choking, while the temptuous flowers were joking, as they begun portioning out my zygote.
For I had now withdrawn from a sunken soul, into a fetus, then into nothing but a floating emblem in utero,
I took it, the pain and all, wanting to take myself higher than a nonexistence; instead I was pulled down by the undertow.
I felt my own eyes watching me as I floated amongst the colors who were singing in starving choruses of smoke rings,
Encircling the pandemonious reasonings of twists and turns, thorns and thistles, and entities and worthless beings.
Of this underworld of endless beauty and rampant disease we claim is our power, hatred, sorrow, greed, and lust,
For we are forever being swallowed by deceptive fountains of bitter herbs, whom in our youth we've dared to seek to trust.
