ALONENESS
Leaves me not in grief
Rather, as my paramour,
leads me on.
To see the world
with no complications
without a worry or care,
without strings attached or obligations.
I yearn not for company, but for solitude
Life’s mysteries are better understood,
Contemplation, a way of life
And when there are no other footsteps
but my own to follow, on the vast shores of time
I’ll have come a full circle from where I began.
When I look back I’ll see,
I’ve lived my life for my own.
Generosity for myself.
No hurt for others.
Isn’t that a thought?
